Tyrilia Gouldson is a visionary leader, international model, creative director, and former Miss Sierra Leone. While she is celebrated for her accomplishments on global stages, her legacy is defined by her tireless advocacy for victims of trafficking and her unwavering commitment to creating opportunities for young people.

Born and raised in Sierra Leone, Tyrilia’s journey began with a passion for empowering others and a deep sense of responsibility to represent her nation with dignity. Winning the title of Miss Sierra Leone was more than just an accolade—it became the platform she needed to address critical issues affecting vulnerable communities.

A Mission Shaped by Personal Trials

Tyrilia’s work to combat trafficking and exploitation is deeply rooted in her own experiences. Leading efforts to support trafficking victims in Sierra Leone has exposed her to the darker realities of systemic corruption and political instability. On several occasions, she has faced extortion, with demands for money that undermined her advocacy efforts. Her property has been damaged, and her safety threatened—all because of her dedication to helping others.

One particularly heartbreaking experience involved Tyrilia’s investment in young models she mentored to represent Sierra Leone internationally. Despite her dedication and financial contributions, the system failed them. Contracts were manipulated, funds were misused, and the promising opportunities she had worked hard to secure were exploited. These betrayals underscored the urgent need for reforms in the modeling and creative industries, inspiring Tyrilia to establish programs that safeguard the dreams of young talent.

Adding to these challenges, Tyrilia has endured persecution due to political instability in Sierra Leone. Her refusal to align with political factions led to the unjust demolition of her property, despite her compliance with all legal documentation. These injustices have only strengthened her resolve to fight for accountability and justice—not just for herself, but for all victims of exploitation and systemic oppression.

The Work Continues

As the founder of Rightful Deeds Foundation, Tyrilia leads initiatives to educate, rehabilitate, and empower victims of trafficking and exploitation. Through awareness campaigns, survivor support programs, and economic empowerment projects, her foundation has transformed countless lives.

In addition to her advocacy, Tyrilia is the founder of the Tyrilia Gouldson Modeling Institute, a training program dedicated to nurturing talent and creating opportunities for aspiring models. The institute ensures that young people are not only prepared for the global stage but are also protected from exploitation. By equipping them with skills and ethical representation, Tyrilia is helping redefine the modeling industry in Sierra Leone and beyond.
